Review CARTER Plymouth Power Pak Wcfb Carburetor Very Rare Model fits 1957

The Carter WCFB 2530s carburetor, a vintage automotive component hailing from the year 1957, is a testament to the rich history of the Carter Carburetor Company and its contribution to the automotive industry, particularly during the golden age of the American muscle car. This specific model was designed to work in harmony with the Plymouth's 318 cubic inch V8 engine, which was a popular choice for the 1957 Plymouth Belvedere and Fury models.

The Carter 2530s is a 2-barrel carburetor, featuring a unique and elegant design that sets it apart from its modern counterparts. The carburetor's body is constructed from a durable cast aluminum material, which not only provides excellent heat dissipation but also adds to the aesthetic appeal of the engine bay. The size and shape of the carburetor are optimized for the specific engine it serves, ensuring efficient fuel delivery and optimal combustion.

The Carter 2530s utilizes a float-feed system, which is characterized by a series of floats that maintain a constant fuel level within the carburetor bowls. This design ensures consistent fuel delivery under various engine operating conditions, contributing to stable idling and smooth throttle response. A pair of 1.7 liter, adjustable venturi chambers accommodate the fuel flow requirements of the engine, while the built-in fuel pressure regulator maintains an optimal fuel pressure level for optimal engine performance.

The carburetor features a Power Pak design, which includes an accelerator pump and power enrichment system. These features work together to provide additional fuel to the engine during periods of high demand, such as when the driver quickly accelerates, ensuring a strong and responsive power delivery. The carburetor also includes a choke mechanism, which allows for easy cold engine starting by enriching the fuel mixture and providing a generous fuel supply to the engine.

The Carter 2530s 1957 Plymouth Power Pak carburetor is a finely tuned piece of automotive engineering, designed to deliver reliable and efficient performance for classic muscle cars. Its unique and intricate design not only meets the specific requirements of the 1957 Plymouth V8 engine but also adds to the visual appeal of the engine bay, making it a cherished component for any vintage automobile enthusiast.

Details:

The Power Pak engine had higher compression, more horsepower and the carb has specific jetting. The car has all of the parts, including spring for choke tang. Price reflects the need for restoration. All butterfly valves move freely.

I am now completing a car for myself, 1958 Plymouth 2 Door Hardtop. Bushings are tight and should be fine as far I can tell. I try to be honest with my, but please feel free ask questions. I have some NOS parts, rare plus a lot of used parts which are getting harder to find.

Many parts are used, but usable. Nearly everything I have left is for 1957-1959 Plymouth's. This was always a secondary business for me, which allowed myself and my family to enjoy many beautiful cars through the years. Also includes the power pak choke, another hard to find and expensive item, appears expand retract when heat is applied.

Not many body parts, but a couple. Mostly gauges, master cylinders, tune up parts etc. I am a sole proprietor business and have been involved with classic specialty cars for over fifty years.
